Leidos has performed strongly under Krone, who has led the Fortune 500 IT science and technology contractor since 2014. The company reported $13.7 billion in revenue in 2021 and employs more than 43,000 people globally.

In February, the Defense Information Systems Agency awarded Leidos the largest contract in the company’s history: $11.5 billion to consolidate enterprise IT services for more than 370,000 users spanning 22 Department of Defense agencies and field activities at more than 500 sites in the U.S. and abroad. The contractor prevailed in June when the U.S. Government Accountability Office denied a protest from Falls Church-based General Dynamics Information Technology Inc., which also competed for the project.

Krone joined Leidos after more than two decades with The Boeing Co. and McDonnell Douglas. A licensed commercial pilot, Krone earned aerospace engineering degrees from Georgia Tech and the University of Texas at Arlington, as well as an MBA from Harvard University.
He is a member of several organizations, including the Professional Services Council. He serves on the executive committee of the Aerospace Industries Association and in 2021 was elected to the National Academy of Engineering.
