Virginia Beach-based Wheeler Real Estate Investment Trust Inc. has opened a regional office in Charleston, S.C.

The company said the office would provide leasing and property management services to 10 existing company properties, as well as future acquisitions in the Southeast.

Wheeler has relocated several staff members from Virginia Beach to help launch the new office.
