Energy: DIANE LEOPOLD

Entering her 28th year with Dominion, Leopold is responsible for all the Fortune 500 utility’s operating segments, with oversight for Dominion Energy Virginia and Dominion Energy South Carolina, as well as the company’s gas distribution and contracted assets division. In all, she is responsible for nearly 7 million customer accounts and operations in at least seven states.

Leopold began her career at Dominion in 1995 and previously served as executive vice president and co-chief operating officer. Before joining Dominion, she earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical and electrical engineering from the University of Sussex in England, as well as a master’s degree in electrical engineering from George Washington University. She also has an MBA from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Leopold is a past chair of the American Gas Association and the Interstate Natural Gas Association of America. She serves on the boards of Nuclear Electric Insurance Ltd., Virginia Union University and the Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation.
