Winchester-based American Woodmark Corp. has promoted Cary Dunston to president and chief operating officer.
He previously was executive vice president and COO.
In his new position, Dunston will assume responsibility for the company’s finance and information technology functions.
“Over the past year, Cary has provided invaluable leadership in rebuilding the organization and meeting the needs of our customers and constituents as the industry continues to recover from the recession,” Kent Guichard, the company’s chairman and CEO, said in a statement. “Consolidating the additional support functions of finance and information technology will further enhance our ability to align all aspects of the company in pursuit of the 2019 Vision to set the standard as a world-class operation.”
American Woodmark manufactures and distributes kitchen cabinets and vanities for the remodeling and new home construction markets. Its products are sold directly to home centers, major builders and through a network of independent distributors.
The company operates nine manufacturing facilities and nine service centers.
