The American Hospital Association (AHA) has selected Nancy Howell Agee, Carilion Clinic’s president and CEO, to serve on its board of trustees. Agee of Roanoke is one of eight new members from around the country selected by the AHA for three-year-terms beginning Jan. 1, 2015.
“Nancy’s election to this prestigious board is reflective of the growing national reputation of Carilion and its leaders,” James Hartley, chairman of the Carilion Clinic Board of Directors, said in a statement.
The AHA is a not-for-profit association of health care provider organizations and serves as the national advocate for nearly 5,000 hospitals, health care systems, networks and other providers of care.
“I am honored to join the board of this exceptional organization and support its vital mission to improve the health of our communities” Agee said.
