McLean-based Exelis has completed the acquisition of Celestech, a private technology development and engineering firm with locations in Chantilly and Phoenix, Ariz. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Celestech provides engineering services and product development for satellite and terrestrial wireless solutions. The firm also supports the Exelis intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance and analytics strategic growth platform.
Celestech will become part of Exelis’ Electronic Systems division. Exelis says the acquisition does not significantly impact Exelis financial results for the second quarter of 2014.
Exelis is an aerospace, defense, information and services company that employs about 17,000 people. In 2013, it generated sales of $4.8 billion.
