Robinson Development Group Inc. and Drucker and Falk LLC have broken ground on a new 255-unit Class A apartment community in Chesterfield County.
The project is located on Charter Colony Parkway within the 725-acre, mixed-use CenterPointe development near the Bon Secours St. Francis Medical Center.
Norfolk-based Robinson, a regional development company that specializes in build-to-suit projects, expects construction to be complete in about 18 months.
It said in a news release that BB&T is providing the construction financing.
The project is a joint venture development with Drucker & Falk, a real estate services and investment firm, based out of Newport News.
Drucker & Falk will provide the leasing and apartment management. This is the second multifamily investment in which the two companies have worked together. The first joint venture was the acquisition and renovation of The Apartments of Stonehenge, a 452-unit community in Raleigh, North Carolina.
