Two Virginia Beach-based real estate investment trusts (REITS) will gain national exposure for their companies this week during an Investor Forum sponsored by NAREIT, the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts.
NAREIT’s REITWeek 2014 will be held Wednesday, June 4, in New York City. The annual meeting draws REIT executives from around the country who discuss their company's latest developments.
Jon S. Wheeler, CEO of Wheeler Real Estate Investment Trust, is scheduled to present at the Waldorf Astoria hotel from 4:30 to 5 p.m. Materials from his presentation will be accessible through the investor relations page at the company’s Website. Wheeler took the company public in November 2012. It specializes in owning, developing and leasing mostly retail properties in secondary and tertiary markets.
Armada Hoffler Properties also announced Monday that it will participate. A live webcast of the company’s presentation during the forum, which begins Wednesday at 8 a.m., can be accessed on the investor relations section of its website. Armada Hoffler, which went public in May 2013, is a real estate company with a construction division that has built many large projects including the Virginia Beach Town Center.
