Fairfax telecom software provider acquires N.J. firm

Fairfax-based telecommunications tech provider Teoco announced Tuesday it had acquired New Jersey-based software company Software Synergy Inc.

Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

“As we look to strengthen Teoco’s presence in the North American market, we are proud of our strategic acquisition of SSI to enhance our routing solutions portfolio,” Teoco founder and CEO Atul Jain said in a statement. “I’m pleased to welcome the SSI team members, customers and partners to Teoco, and we look forward to serving them.”

Established in 1990, SSI provides intelligent network routing solutions for communication service provider (CSP) networks. SSI’s universal routing solution that is integrated with the SMS/800 Toll-Free Number Registry.

“For more than 30 years we have supported and managed the infrastructure of CSPs, and we are excited to combine our knowledge, expertise and intellectual property with that of Teoco’s to deepen the company’s value proposition,” SSI President and Chief Technology Officer Kevin Oxley said in a statement.

Founded in 1995, Teoco provides analytics, assurance and optimization solutions to more than 300 CSPs and original equipment manufacturers. It has more than 1,000 employees.
