Arlington-based Communities In Schools (CIS) is moving, but not too far. CIS plans to relocate this summer to a 16,462 square foot space at its current building on Crystal Drive.
Communities In Schools is a nonprofit that aims to help children stay in school and succeed in life. It operates in more than 2,200 schools across the country, serving 1.3 million people each year.
Wendy Feldman Block, corporate managing director at Studley, negotiated CIS’s relocation. Block said in a statement that the new space creates a more collaborative environment and increases overall efficiencies.
“Every office and workstation will have access to natural light, new internet and AV technologies equipped to better train and integrate Communities In Schools’ extensive field personnel into the culture,” she said in a statement. “With this space, CIS has room to grow without undergoing additional construction.”
