Faneuil Inc. plans to open a customer-service contact center in Hampton’s Peninsula Town Center this summer.
The company, which has its headquarters in downtown Hampton, provides customer-care services for government and commercial organizations nationwide. The contact center — Faneuil’s first in Hampton — represents a capital investment of more than $2 million and will provide jobs for up to 400 customer- service representatives.
Faneuil delivers broad, multi-channel customer care support to several industries, including health care, transportation, utilities and government services. It manages more than half a billion customer interactions annually.
The company has 3,600 employees, including 968 assigned to locations throughout Virginia. In addition to Hampton, the Virginia locations include Clifton Forge, Gloucester, Herndon, Martinsville, Portsmouth, Richmond and South Boston.
The company also has business operations in Florida, New Jersey, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Washington state and the Washington, D.C. metro
area.
