Brought to you by Virginia Business and Bank of America, join us every other month for the Diversity Leadership Series — virtual fireside chats with a diverse group of Virginia business leaders sharing their insights and thoughts on leadership, their career paths, and diversity and equity. Our December 2021 discussion features Dr. Xiong Chang, owner of Acupuncture Chang Institute, and Joseph Toe, chief operating officer of Summit Eleven Inc.

Based in Charlottesville, Dr. Chang worked in one of China’s top three hospitals for nine years, coming to Virginia in 2008, where he works with other doctors to incorporate acupuncture into Western medical treatments. Toe has been COO with Charlottesville-based freight transportation provider since 2017, and previously he co-founded three other companies involved with shipping and logistics. Toe also is a board member of Central Oceans USA LLC, a transport company specializing in oversized and complicated cargo, which he co-founded in 2011.

Watch our previous two conversations, featuring Zel Technologies LLC CEO Jack Ezzell and ARDX Founder, President and CEO Angela Reddix, and Marion Marketing Global LLC CEO Brian Robertson and Tilt Creative + Production Founder and CEO Ron Carey.
