Matthews, Carter & Boyce (MCB) has signed a lease for a 16,421-square-foot headquarters expansion and relocation at 12500 Fair Lakes Circle in Fairfax.

In November, the company plans to move from its current 11,000- square-foot space at 11320 Random Hills Road in Fairfax to its new location, a nine-building office complex owned by San Francisco-based Shorenstein Realty Services.

Cresa Washington D.C. Senior Vice President Dan Klueger represented MCB, a 50-employee firm founded in 1947 that serves small-to-mid sized businesses and high-net worth clients.

Chilton Griffin, a vice president with Cresa Washington D.C.’s Project Management Services, is handling the move management, phased-construction and strategic planning for MCB’s relocation

“Cresa helped us secure both aggressive and flexible lease terms, taking advantage of a soft Fairfax submarket and providing us with about 50 percent more space to accommodate the future expansion and growth of our firm,” Jude J. Covas, managing principal of MCB, said in a statement.

MCB cited location as the main factor in its relocation along with more amenities, such as conference space and collaborative areas, as well as exterior signage.
