Falls Church-based General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) Inc. has won a $136 million contract from the U.S. Navy, the Department of Defense announced Thursday.

The IT subsidiary of Fortune 500 contractor General Dynamics, which generated $39.7 billion in revenue last year, GDIT will support the consolidation of all Tier 1 information technology help desks and transition them to GDIT, which will be their managed service provider.

GDIT will use artificial intelligence, machine learning, predictive analytics and natural language processing.

The work will primarily be done in Louisiana and is expected to be completed by August 2025 if all options are exercised. The contract includes a one-year base ordering period and three one-year optional ordering periods.

GDIT won a five-year, $219 million contract with the contact center for U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services in May.
