Arlington-based IT services federal contractor Planned Systems International Inc. acquired Alexandria-based technology company ProSphere Tek Inc., it announced Thursday.

Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.

Founded in 2006, federal contractor ProSphere designs and maintains mission-critical systems, supports data center operations and migrates business services to public clouds. PSI valued its network/cloud operations and large-scale customer service centers, according to its news release.

“We are proud to welcome ProSphere into the PSI family. This acquisition is a win-win for both companies,” PSI CEO Terry Lin said in a statement. “This is an important building block to both organizations, offering access to strategic customers and contract vehicles as we continue to deliver digital transformation that improves the delivery of healthcare and maintain a top-notch, engaged workplace for our employees.”

PSI was founded in 1988 and provides IT and management consulting services to address health needs.
