Avantus Federal, a McLean-based IT defense contractor, announced Tuesday it has hired Luanne Pavco as president of Avantus Services and chief delivery officer.

Pavco most recently served as regional general manager with Seattle-based consulting firm Slalom and also served on Avantus’ board of advisers. In her new role, she will oversee delivery and integrated talent management initiatives, serving as a senior member of the executive team and reporting directly to CEO Andy Maner.

“We are doing important work at Avantus, and with Luanne leading the charge as president of Avantus Services as well as our chief delivery officer, she will help us continue to grow our company into a robust, mission-ready hub,” Maner said in a statement.

In October 2020, McLean-based defense contractor E3/Sentinel LLC announced it would operate under the Avantus Federal name. Avantus had operated as E3/Sentinel since 2018, following the merger of E3 Federal Solutions and The Sentinel Co. The company offers data engineering, advanced analytics and software development services to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Department of Defense and the U.S. Intelligence Community.

Pavco was also the founder of Slalom Federal and held several executive leadership positions with Coopers & Lybrand, PricewaterhouseCoopers and IBM Federal. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University.
