Arlington-based Leonardo DRS’ Laurel Technologies business and Data Link Solutions, a joint venture between Falls Church-based BAE Systems Inc. and Charlotte, North Carolina-based Collins Aerospace, earned spots on a $150 million Navy blanket purchase agreement.

The companies will each manufacture up to 150 electronic equipment cabinets for the Navy and provide logistics, test and program management services, according to a Department of Defense statement released Wednesday.

Work on the BPA will be performed at contractor facilities in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, and Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The services are expected to be completed by January 2023, according to the DOD.

Leonardo DRS announced in July 2020 it won a $120 million U.S. Navy contract to provide engineering design and test software for aircraft protection systems. BAE Systems Inc. is an independent U.S. subsidiary of England-based BAE Systems plc, one of Europe’s top defense contractors. BAE Systems Inc. employs approximately 35,100 people across the U.S., U.K., Sweden and Israel. The company generated $11.4 billion in sales last year.
