Richmond-based Media General has promoted its chief financial officer. James F. Woodward will now serve as the company’s CFO and senior vice president.
Woodward, who has been with Media General for 30 years, has served in various roles. From 2009-2011 he was group vice president for Media General's former growth and performance group. Before that, Woodward served as director of corporate human resources from 1999-2009.
He is a graduate of the Leadership Metro Richmond Class of 2009 and a foundation board member of Richmond-based J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College.
Media General is a television broadcasting and digital media company. It owns 31 television stations throughout the United States.
