GSA awards Northrop Grumman $690M task order

The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) has awarded Falls Church-based Fortune 100 defense contractor Northrop Grumman Corp. a $690 million task order to develop a suite of data systems for the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA).

Under the contract awarded by the GSA’s Federal Systems Integration and Management Center (FEDSIM), Northrop Grumman will build big data systems for the DIA’s Transforming All-Source Analysis with Location-Based Object Services (TALOS) program.

“Northrop Grumman will continue its longtime partnership with DIA, the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community in the delivery of this critical national security capability,” Ginger Wierzbanowski, Northrop Grumman’s vice president of intelligence solutions, said in a statement. “Building on our experience and deep mission understanding, we look forward to developing enhanced technologies to help analysts deliver actionable intelligence with speed.”

Northrop Grumman will serve as the enterprise module integrator for Machine-Assisted Rapid-Repository System (MARS), which will create a military intelligence environment to be accessed by the Intelligence Community and warfighters. The company will use artificial intelligence and machine learning to develop the system.

Northrop Grumman employs more than 90,000 people and reported $33.8 billion in 2019 revenue.
