The auction of Natural Bridge — a Virginia landmark once owned by Thomas Jefferson — has been rescheduled for Dec. 18.
The auction had previously been set for Nov. 14.
“After reviewing the various time schedules, the pieces just weren't going to come together in time for the date we had planned. Pushing it back a few weeks will allow more time for surveying and other processes necessary to market and convey the this magnificent landmark properly,” Jim Woltz, president of Woltz & Associates, which will conduct the auction, said in a statement.
The auction will include the bridge, the 150-room hotel, Natural Bridge Caverns and approximately 1,600 acres.
The company was retained by the principal owner, Angelo Puglisi, to sell the landmark.
