Embrey Mill, an 831-acre master-planned community in North Stafford, will open Saturday, Sept. 28. It's expected to boost Stafford County’s economic growth. The community will bring jobs and new homes to a region experiencing a surge in population and commerce.
“Embrey Mill is helping drive Stafford's current economic development by creating construction jobs, while also addressing the region's long-term housing needs … “ Garrisonville District Supervisor Ty Schieber said in a statement. “The involvement of a national developer like Newland Communities makes clear that homebuilding is back on the upswing in the region.”
Embrey Mill will offer 1,827 homes at build-out.
It’s a joint venture between North America Sekisui House LLC, the U.S. business unit and subsidiary of Sekisui House Ltd. — Japan’s largest homebuilder — and Newland Real Estate Group LLC. Its development business, Newland Communities, is the community’s master developer.
Besides nine models of homes, the community will have 285 acres of open space, a café, pool and fitness center, and four neighborhood parks.
