Arlington-based cybersecurity company ThreatConnect Inc. announced Thursday it has acquired Tysons-based software company Nehemiah Security, which quantifies cybersecurity risks for customers.

ThreatConnect did not disclose a transaction price, but through its purchaser entity, NS Holdings LLC, it “acquired substantially all of the assets and assumed selected liabilities of Nehemiah,” according to a company statement.

The acquisition will allow ThreatConnect to expand cyber risk quantification, which is a process that identifies and quantifies cybersecurity risks that could affect financial, operational or strategic company goals.

“We’ve watched with interest as the cyber risk quantification movement has taken off, keeping an eye on evolving approaches and listening to the experiences of our clients,” ThreatConnect CEO Adam Vincent said in a statement. “The decision to acquire Nehemiah was an easy one as they are ahead of the market in terms of their ability to automate cyber risk quantification.”

Founded in 2011, ThreatConnect employs approximately 130 people and also has a London office.
