Lisa Kilgour promoted after three years at Fairfax-based bank

Lisa Kilgour has been promoted to executive vice president and chief operating officer of Fairfax-based MainStreet Bank, its parent company, MainStreet Bancshares Inc., announced Friday.
A Virginia Tech graduate, Kilgour joined the bank in 2017 as senior vice president and chief information officer, and before that, served as senior vice president of operations for Middleburg Bank for 22 years. She previously held executive positions with Middletown Valley Bank and Farmers & Merchants Bank, and Kilgour serves as the board chair of Virginia 1st, a nonprofit organization that coordinates financial institutions’ response in the event of a regional or national disaster.
She is also a graduate of the Virginia Bankers Association’s Executive Leadership Program, BAI Graduate School of Banking for Operations & Technology, and Leadership Loudoun.
MainStreet Bank operates seven branches in Herndon, Fairfax, Fairfax City, McLean, Leesburg, Clarendon and Washington, D.C.
