Arlington-based federal technology contractor CACI International Inc. announced Wednesday it has acquired Belgrade, Montana-based aerospace company Ascent Vision Technologies LLC (AVT).
A transaction amount was not disclosed.
Founded in 1962, CACI specializes in enterprise and mission technology. The company has approximately 23,000 employees and is on the Fortune 1000 list. AVT provides technology services that support multidomain intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR), unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), air defense and counter-unmanned aircraft system (c-UAS) operations.
The combination of AVT’s technologies with CACI’s signals intelligence, electronic warfare and other capabilities will create more options for customers, according to CACI. The technology provided through the combined company will serve defense and security markets, including the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps, CACI President and CEO John Mengucci said in a statement.
“CACI has an outstanding track record of successful acquisitions that deliver distinctive benefits for our customers and employees while providing long-term value to our shareholders,” J.P. “Jack” London, CACI executive chairman and chairman of the board, said in a statement. “The cultures of CACI and AVT are aligned with an unwavering commitment to integrity, ethics, and innovation.”
Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP served as CACI’s legal adviser for the transaction. Jefferies Group LLC served as financial adviser to AVT, and Holland & Hart LLP served as legal adviser.
“The synergies between AVT and CACI’s offerings establish unapparelled technologies and capabilities in this growing area of ISR and c-UAS within CACI’s business,” Mengucci said in a statement. “We welcome the talented and mission-focused AVT employees to CACI.”
