A $10 million gift from a Connecticut couple who graduated in 1986 will lead to the building of a $12 million center for admission and career services at the University of Richmond.
The $10 million lead gift came from Paul and Anne-Marie Queally, Phi Beta Kappa graduates of the university who live in New Canaan, Conn. They have given a total of $20 million to the University.
Paul Queally, a university trustee, is co-president of the investment firm Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe.
The new building will be named The Queally Center for Admission and Career Services, bringing together the offices of admission, financial aid and employer development under one roof.
In addition to their current gift, in 2007 the Queallys made the lead gift to launch the construction of Queally Hall, a 33,000-square-foot addition to the Robins School of Business.
