Troutman Sanders LLC has renewed a lease of more than 100,000 square feet at Riverside on the James in downtown Richmond. The law firm originally moved to the office in July 2005 as a lead tenant. Riverside on the James, at 1001 Haxall Point, is a mixed-use development with office space, retail and luxury residential units.
Under its new five-year lease, Troutman Sanders consolidated from five to four floors. The decision to remain in the city’s Central Business District comes at a time when many new developments and apartments have opened and other projects, including a new 15-story office tower for the McGuireWoods law firm, are in the planning stages.
Troutman Sanders is an international law firm with more than 600 lawyers in offices located throughout the U.S. and in China. About 100 lawyers work in its Richmond office.
