McLean IT company names new CFO

Adam Omar was previously CFO at SAIC, Software AG and LexisNexis.

McLean-based Altamira Technologies Corp. announced Thursday that A. Adam Omar will serve as its new chief financial officer. 

A certified public accountant, Omar previously worked as CFO for Maryland-based CyberCore Technologies and he has worked as a vice president and finance executive for companies including Reston-based Science Applications International Corp., Software AG and LexisNexis.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in finance from George Mason University and his master’s degree in finance from The George Washington University. 

In 2019, Altamira Technologies was bought by an investor group led by venture capital firm ClearSky. The company was originally funded by Columbia Capital and Razor’s Edge Ventures and opened in 1999. The company provides technology products and services to national security clients.
