Pet treat company leases 87,000 square feet in Richmond

Liberty Property Trust has finalized six leases at its properties in the greater Richmond area in the first quarter, totaling 232,000 square feet of space.

The transactions include two new leases, one expansion and three lease renewals.

The largest new lease was with TDBBS, Inc., a Richmond-based company that specializes in the manufacture, distribution, and sale of pet related products. It signed for 87,000 square feet at 5701 Eastport Blvd. in Richmond. Dick Porter of Porter Realty represented TDBBS in the transaction.

Hilldrup Moving & Storage also signed a new lease for 27,000 square feet at Liberty’s Richmond Distribution Center at 4593 Carolina Ave. Rich McDaniel of CBRE represented Hilldrup Moving & Storage.

Expansions within the region included Mycom North America Inc. It expanded into a total of 11,000 square feet at 5620 Eastport Blvd. in Richmond. Wilson Flohr of Porter Realty Company represented Mycom North America.

On the renewal side, Viking SupplyNet renewed for 44,000 square feet in Liberty’s Richmond Distribution Center. Jim Arledge of Arledge Group Inc. represented Viking SupplyNet.

Iron Mountain Information Management LLC renewed two long-term lease agreements within Liberty’s Richmond portfolio. The company renewed leases for 43,000 square feet and 20,000 square feet, both at Eastport Distribution Center. Scott Keeton of Jones Lang LaSalle represented Iron Mountain in both transactions.

Liberty, based in Malvern, Pa., owns and manages a combined 1.7 million-square-foot warehouse and office portfolio in Hampton Roads, and a 3.5 million-square-foot warehouse portfolio in Richmond.
