Alabama company buys Little Creek Marketplace in Norfolk

Birmingham, Alabama-based property management company Shannon Waltchack’s retail real estate fund, SWNC I LLC, has purchased the Little Creek Marketplace shopping center in Norfolk, S.L. Nusbaum Realty Co. announced Tuesday.

The sale price of the transaction was not disclosed.

The 49,000-square-foot retail center was 97% leased at the time of the sale to tenants including Verizon Wireless, Navy Federal Credit Union, Applebee’s International Inc., Wingstop Inc. and Fuddruckers. Other service providers include Beltone, Leisure Dental, The UPS Store, Hair Cuttery and Great Clips.

S.L. Nusbaum and Shannon Waltchack will provide property management, and Chris Hucke of S.L. Nusbaum will be the leasing agent on the property.

Bill Overman and John Wessling represented the buyer and Doug Aronson (all from S.L. Nusbaum) represented the seller.

Shannon Waltchack manages, brokers, develops and acquires Southeast U.S. properties. It has closed more than $1.4 billion in real estate transactions and manages an 80-property portfolio.
