One of the largest labor and employment law firms, Atlanta-based Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart PC, has opened an office in Richmond.
The office initially will be staffed by three attorneys. Jimmy F. Robinson, Jr., who joins Ogletree Deakins from Troutman Sanders, is the office’s managing shareholder. Elizabeth Ebanks, a former a partner at LeClairRyan, joins the firm as a shareholder, and Tevis Marshall, formerly a senior associate at Troutman Sanders, serves as of counsel.
“Richmond has long been an attractive market for Ogletree Deakins, as we have a number of clients with a significant presence in Virginia,” Kim Ebert, Ogletree Deakins’ managing shareholder, said in a statement. “We are confident that we have found the right team of attorneys to guide our entry into the market.”
Richmond is the second office the firm has opened this year and the fifth to open in the past year. The firm opened its San Diego office in January and offices in Berlin, New York City, and Stamford, Conn., in 2012.
Ogletree Deakins has more than 650 lawyers located in 44 offices in the United States and in Europe.
