Reston-based program management and consulting provider Whitney, Bradley & Brown Inc. (WBB) has acquired Arlington-based defense analytics provider Decisive Analytics Corp. (DAC), according to WBB’s parent company, H.I.G. Capital (H.I.G).
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, but H.I.G is a global private equity investment firm with more than $35 billion of equity capital under management. H.I.G. has invested in and managed more than 300 companies since 1993, with its current portfolio consisting of approximately 100 companies.
DAC, founded in 1996, provides engineering and analytical support — including systems engineering, life-cycle logistics, cybersecurity, data analytics and machine learning — to the Department of Defense and the U.S. intelligence community.
“WBB and DAC have independently developed complementary suites of solutions that will present exciting future growth opportunities for the combined business,” said Jeff Zanarini, managing director at H.I.G., in a statement released Thursday.
WBB was founded in 1981 and employs approximately 1,000 people.
