In what is a true sign of spring for real estate agents, new homes are being built again on a large scale in North Stafford.
Two companies announced a joint venture project yesterday for a new master-planned community with 1,827 homes. Newland Communities and its partner, North America Sekisui House (NASH), announced Embrey Hill, an 831-acre community that when complete would include 285-acres of open space, public parks, civic and recreation centers and 10 miles of trails, in addition to the homes.
North America Sekisui House LLC is the U.S. business unit and full subsidiary of Sekisui House Ltd. — Japan’s largest homebuilder. Newland Communities is the development business arm of Newland Real Estate Group, based out of San Diego. Embrey Mill will be one of 30 assets the NASH-Newland partnership manages together, in 11 states across the US.
“We are excited to officially announce Embrey Mill … Construction is well underway, with plans to announce the home builders in the next several weeks,” Tracy Graves, vice president of operations, Newland Communities, said in a statement.
According to a press release, roads in the community’s first phase already are completed. Embrey House, the community center for the first phase of the neighborhood, also is also under construction and will feature a cafe with outdoor patio, concierge service, swimming pool and playground. Embrey Mill is scheduled to open in mid-summer.
