Colonial Downs announces new hires

The Colonial Downs Group, which plans to reopen the Colonial Downs racetrack in New Kent County and establish off-track betting facilities, has announced several appointments.

Molly Procell will serve as vice president of human resources. She is the former director of human resources for Lady Luck Casino in Vicksburg, Miss.

Scott Warren joins as the organization’s vice president of finance. His background includes managing internal audit and compliance functions, as well as operational and financial controller positions.

Mark Parson has been named community engagement coordinator. Parson is a former National Football League (NFL) player for the Houston Texans and New Orleans Saints.
 
Stephanie Wisneski has been tapped as director of compliance.  Wisneski was compliance manager for Miami Valley Gaming and Racing in Lebanon, Ohio.

The Colonial Downs leadership team is based in downtown Richmond at 200 S. 10th St.

The announcements follow the naming of a senior vice president and general manager, John Marshall; chief operating officer, Aaron Gomes; vice president, legal affairs and general counsel, Stephanie J. Gilliard; and operations vice president, Jeff Townsend.
