A new clinic will open in Virginia Beach next year to serve post-9/11 veterans and their families, according to a news release issued by the city.
The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic, located at 828 Healthy Way, is expected to open by May. Patients will be able to receive treatment for a variety of mental health issues, including depression and PTSD at no or low-cost through a partnership with The Up Center, a Norfolk-based nonprofit. It also will offer telehealth services.
The Virginia Beach Department of Economic Development assisted the Cohen Veterans Network with finding the location of the new clinic and vetting potential partners. The Cohen Veterans Network is a Stamford, Conn.-based nonprofit of mental health clinics for post-9/11 veterans and their families.
