Health-care IT company moving to Rosslyn

Health-care information technology company Cerner Corp. will locate in the same Arlington building as Nestle and its subsidiary, Gerber.

North Kansas City, Mo.-based Cerner will lease 38,075 square feet of space at 1812 North Moore Street in the Rosslyn area of Arlington. Cerner employees will occupy the entire 14th and part of the 12th floor and will house associates who service a contract with the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Department of Defense.

Cerner employees have not moved into the space yet, and this will be the company’s first Virginia office. The company did not provide a timeline or number of employees that will occupy the space.

The Arlington building is the tallest in the Washington, D.C., area at 35 stories. Nestlé is the anchor tenant of the building. Its subsidiary, Gerber, announced in April that it also was moving its U.S. headquarters to the building.

Monday Properties, a real estate investment firm that owns the property, last year announced a $250 million refinancing of the building because of interest from the debt markets.

Cerner was represented by Brian McVay and Colin Meadows at Cushman & Wakefield.
