University of Virginia Health System held a groundbreaking ceremony on Monday for a $105 million comprehensive musculoskeletal center.
The approximately 195,000-square-foot facility will consolidate U.Va.’s outpatient orthopedic care in a single location.
It will include six outpatient operating rooms, where orthopedic and sports medicine surgeries will be performed.
The center also will consolidate almost all of UVA Orthopedics outpatient clinics.
Imaging services will include MRIs, X-rays, CT scans, ultrasound and fluoroscopy.
Comprehensive physical and occupational therapy services also will be available on site.
The center is expected to open to patients in February 2022.
