Virginia Beach-based Groundworks Cos. said Monday it has acquired Moberly, Mo.-based Foundation Recovery Systems. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Foundation Recovery Systems provides foundation services in Missouri, Kansas, Arkansas and Iowa. The company, which has more than 100 employees, plans to maintain its current management team, name and branding.
Groundworks specializes in residential and commercial foundation repair, crawl space encapsulation, basement waterproofing and concrete leveling. Groundworks is made up of five brands—Foundation Recovery Systems, Indiana Foundation Service, JES Foundation Repair, Mount Valley Foundation Services and Tar Heel Basement Systems. The company operates out of 15 offices that serve Arkansas, Georgia, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Maryland, Missouri, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia.
