This year 298 Virginia companies have made the Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing companies in the U.S.
The highest-ranking Virginia company on the list is DGC International, a Vienna-based government services firm, which came in at No. 11.
The company recorded a three-year growth rate of 14,476 percent.
Founded in 2010, DGC had annual revenue of nearly $180 million last year.
DGC also was the highest-ranking Virginia company on the 2017 list when it was No. 20.
Eight of the top 10 Virginia companies on the Inc. were are government services providers. The other two are involed in IT management and IT system development.
All 10 companies are based in Northern Virginia.

No. 183: ByteCubed, Arlington, 2,353 percent, IT system development, $33.2 million
