Virginia Beach-based Kotarides Holdings has begun site work on the next phase of development of Jolliff Landing at Western Branch, a mixed-use community in Chesapeake.
The new phase will include 361 single-family home sites called The Manor Homes at Jolliff Landing.
The Manor Homes will feature three- to five-bedroom floor plans of 2,200 to 3,300 square feet starting in the high-$300,000s.
The homes will be built by Corinth Residential, a Kotarides division, and Wirth Living, a division of Wirth Development Corp.
Amenities will include a resort-style pool and open-air pavilion, walking trails, parks and plazas with outdoor seating, a clubhouse with kitchen, conference room, fitness center, and natural preservation areas.
Jolliff Landing at Western Branch is along Portsmouth Boulevard in Chesapeake.
The first-phase of the project included Clairmont at Jolliff Landing, an apartment community, and the Townhomes at Jolliff Landing.
Jolliff Landing at Western Branch also will be connected to the new multi-use, bike-pedestrian South Hampton Roads Trail.
Kotarides currently has several projects in the Western Branch community of Chesapeake. In addition to Jolliff Landing, the company purchased the Chesapeake Square Mall earlier this year.
Founded in 1963, Kotarides has developed a number of master-planned communities, apartment homes, new homes, retail and office projects in Hampton Roads. It owns and manages a portfolio of more than 4,500 apartments and more than 2 million square feet of retail and office space.
Kotarides’ divisions include Corinth Residential, Kotarides Developers, Kotarides Builders, and KPM, a real estate management division.
In addition to Hampton Roads, the company has projects in the Richmond area and Raleigh, Winston-Salem and Charlotte areas in North Carolina.
