Arlington County-based Interstate Hotels & Resorts is launching a new management division, Intrigue Hotels & Resorts by Interstate, focused on independent properties.
Interstate is a hotel management company with a portfolio of 400 hotels, resorts and conference centers.
Intrigue offers a management platform, which aims to increase revenue contributions and better cost savings to improve operating margins. The division also will offer a central reservation system integrated with a revenue management platform designed for its independent hotels.
Brian Sparacino has been tapped to head the division as senior vice president of operations. His past and present responsibilities with Interstate Hotels & Resorts include oversight of hotels and resorts residing in major gateway markets. He has more than two decades of hospitality experience, including positions with Marriott, Starwood and Trump Hotels and Resorts.
“With a separate, specialized operating division dedicated to carefully curating an unparalleled guest experience for our independent properties, Interstate can lead this rapidly growing segment by blending our traditional hotelier experience with a new paradigm for lifestyle property management, ” Sparacino said in a statement.
The leadership team for Intrigue will be based in Arlington and New York.
