Executives of Landmark Media Enterprises, which owns The Virginian-Pilot newspaper and subsidiary Dominion Enterprises, have shifted roles to account for the companies’ smaller size. Frank Batten Jr., chairman and CEO of both Landmark and Dominion, has assumed the additional role of president. Jack Ross , the president and chief operating officer of Dominion Enterprises and Landmark Media for nine years, now is president of Dominion Dealer Solutions. Terry Blevins, a longtime executive vice president and CFO, has retired. (The Virginian-Pilot)
Lori Marrow has been named branch manager of Primary Residential Mortgage Inc.’s Newport News office. Marrow was a mortgage loan consultant with Wells Fargo Home Mortgage. (News release)

Gov. Terry McAuliffe announced the following appointments to the Frontier Culture Museum of Virginia’s board of trustees: Eric W. Bond, division superintendent, Augusta County Public Schools; and William L. Hausrath, owner and broker of Valley Real Estate Brokers LLC. Pamela R. Fox and William F. Sibert were reappointed to the board. Fox is president of Mary Baldwin University in Staunton. Sibert, a Staunton resident, is vice president, real estate, of Moore Brothers Co. Inc. (News release)
Christopher Seaman, associate professor of law at Washington and Lee University School of Law in Lexington, has been appointed by Dean Brant Hellwig as director of the Frances Lewis Law Center. The center is the independently funded faculty research and support arm of the law school. (News release)

Troy Burns has joined West Creek Financial Inc. in Glen Allen as chief information officer. West Creek Financial is a financial technology firm focused on the leasing of furniture and appliances to consumers. Burns was chief technology officer with Acuity Management Solutions in Richmond. Lucy W. Hooper, executive vice president and director of fixed income at Richmond-based Davenport & Co. LLC, has been named chair of the Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board. She will take office Oct. 1, 2018. (News release)

Jeff Ricketts has been named president of Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Virginia. He succeeds C. Burke King, who now oversees the insurance giant’s large group business segment across the country. Ricketts was regional vice president of sales. (Richmond Times-Dispatch)
Angela Kelly-Wiecek has been named chair of the Greater Richmond Partnership board of directors. She is chair of the Hanover County Board of Supervisors. Herndon-based NetCentrics Corp. announced that Cyndi Barreda , the company’s curren t president, will take over for retiring CEO and co-founder Bob Dougherty. Dougherty will assume the position of vice chairman of the board of directors. Barreda has been with NetCentrics since 2002. Margaret “Maggie” Gill has been named the CEO of Novant Health UVA Health System, which serves Northern Virginia. Gill comes to Novant Health UVA from Memorial Health in Savannah, Ga., where she had served as president and CEO since 2011. (Inside NOVA)
M. Amy Gilliland will succeed S. Daniel Johnson as president of Fairfax-based General Dynamics Information Technology, effective Sept. 1. She has been the organization’s deputy for operations since April 2017. Johnson will continue in his role as executive vice president (EVP) of the Information Systems and Technology group, responsible for General Dynamics Information Technology and General Dynamics Mission Systems. Tysons-based Old Dominion National Bank has named Raj Mahajan EVP of mortgage lending. Mahajan joins Old Dominion from Bethesda, Md.-based EagleBank where he served as vice president and senior mortgage banker. Old Dominion also has named Sushil Clarence EVP of the government and technology banking group. Sushil has spent the last 13 years with Cardinal Bank, which was acquired by United Bank in April of this year, as EVP and manager of the government and technology group. (News release)

Since 2009, Danville native Octavius Pinkard has been an international election monitor traveling to places such as Lebanon, Turkey, Belarus and Kyrgyzstan. SOUTHWEST VIRGINIA
Mark Estepp announced plans to retire as president of Southwest Virginia Community College on Dec. 31. There will be a nationwide search for his replacement. Estepp is in his 10th year as president of the college, having succeeded Charles King, who was the founding president of the school. (SWVAToday.com)
David Ring , corporate manager of governmental affairs and strategic projects at Bristol-based Strongwell, was recently named chair of the Regulatory Steering Committee for the American Composites Manufacturers Association. Ring will lead the committee in its efforts to identify regulatory and governmental legislation issues impacting composites manufacturers. He also will assist in providing analyses of these issues and their implications, action recommendations and oversight of program management. (News release)

Former Justice Cynthia D. Kinser, the first woman chief justice of the Supreme Court of Virginia and senior counsel at Gentry Locke in Roanoke, was honored by having her portrait hung at the Supreme Court of Virginia in June. Kinser spent 17 years on the Supreme Court with more than three of those years as chief justice. She retired from the bench in 2014. In 2015, she joined Gentry Locke where she focuses on appeals, criminal matters and government investigations. Before her service on the state’s high court, Kinser worked in private practice in Southwest Virginia. She also served a term as the commonwealth’s attorney of Lee County and as a U.S. bankruptcy trustee and U.S. magistrate judge for the Western District of Virginia. (News release)
Hall Associates Inc., a Roanoke-based commercial real estate firm, has announced several promotions.
Frank C. Martin III has been promoted to senior associate broker. He will be responsible for marketing, associate recruitment and leading the sales team. He also joins Hall’s executive m anagement team. Martin has worked at the firm since 2014 and was its sales leader for 2015 and 2016. Tommy Hendrix is now senior vice president of property management services. He will oversee residential and commer cial management divisions and also will serve on the executive team. Hendrix has been with Hall since 2003 and most recently served as vice president for Hall’s Facility Management Division. Christina Greene has been promoted to vice president of association management and vice president of commercial property management. She will lead the company’s property owner association management and commercial property management division. Angela Mahala is now vice president of finance. Andrew McCoy has been named head of the Department of Building Construction in the Myers-Lawson School of Construction at Virginia Tech. McCoy, a Preston and Catherine White Fellow, also is the school’s associate director and director of the Virginia Center for Housing Research in the College of Architecture and Urban Studies.
