HAMPTON ROADS
Waterside District. The renovation of downtown Norfolk’s old Waterside Festival Marketplace is in full swing. The $40 million, 125,000-square-foot dining and entertainment venue is expected to open in April.
Zeiders American Dream Theater. Armada Hoffler Properties Inc. has started on its next phase of mixed-use development at the Town Center of Virginia Beach. It will include a 300-seat theater for local creative groups.
RICHMOND
Dominion Resources office tower. The energy company is building a 1 million-square-foot, 20-story office tower. The building in downtown Richmond is expected to be ready by late next year.
Institute for Contemporary Art. Billed as a new gateway to the city, the institute at Virginia Commonwealth University is well underway. The $41.2 million, 41,000-square-foot building is scheduled to open Oct. 28.
NORTHERN VIRGINIA
Iron Mountain’s Data Center Campus. The Boston-based company has begun work on the first 150,000-square-foot center in what will be an 85-acre campus in Prince William County. The project represents an overall total projected investment of $350 million, with the first building expected to open this summer.
Capital One Financial Corp. The financial services company has a new 930,000-square-foot headquarters tower underway at Tysons Corner. The headquarters expansion is scheduled for completion next ye
