Tredegar Corp. announced Tuesday that George A. Newbill will retire from the board of directors at its shareholder meeting in May.
Newbill has been on the board since 2008.
Tredegar also announced that the board has appointed John M. Steitz to the board. He will be up for election by Tredegar’s shareholders at the company’s annual meeting in May.
Steitz is president and CEO of Addivant Corp., a manufacturer of performance-based polymer additives. He previously was president and chief operating officer PQ Corp., a producer of inorganic performance chemicals. He served as chief operating officer of Albemarle Corp. from 2007 until 2012. He also is a director of Innophos Holdings.
Tredegar is a manufacturer of plastic films and aluminum extrusions and is headquartered in Richmond.
