The Cordish Cos. said Thursday it is investing over $6 million to bring the Blue Moon Taphouse to Norfolk’s Waterside District.
Blue Moon’s dining and entertainment venue will debut when the project launches in spring 2017, according to The Cordish Cos., the Baltimore-based developer behind the Waterside District, a $40 million project that’s overhauling the former Waterside Festival Marketplace.
Blue Moon is a Belgian-style Wit beer that is part of Chicago-based MillerCoors. Blue Moon Brewing Co. was originally launched in 1995 in Denver.
“The Blue Moon TapHouse is a licensing partnership that combines the best of craft cooking with the best of craft beer,” Reed S. Cordish, vice president of The Cordish Cos., said in a statement.
The Blue Moon TapHouse will include a restaurant with a large selection of craft beer and live music.
Other retailers that have been announced for the Waterside District include Guy Fieri’s Smokehouse, The Fudgery, PBR and Cogan’s Pizza.
