Dynamis acquires Defense Group subsidiary

Fairfax-based Dynamis Inc. has acquired Emergency & Security Management Solutions (ESMS), a subsidiary of Vienna-based Defense Group Inc. (DGI).

Financial details about the deal were not disclosed.

Dynamis officials said the acquisition would accelerate its growth in providing technology services to government and commercial customers.

“DGI’s Emergency & Security Management Solutions has grown into one of the leading providers for enterprise emergency and security management software solutions, making them an ideal addition to our business,” Dynamis CEO John Milam said in a statement. “This acquisition enables us to better serve our emergency and security management customers, including the Homeland Security and Defense departments, and we are excited about the new growth opportunities this will create for our company.”

Dynamis’ services include program support, decision support, organizational development, engineering services and IT services.

Its clients include the Department of Homeland Security, Federal Aviation Administration and the Department of Defense.
