Systaaq Diagnostic Products Inc. (Systaaq), a molecular diagnostics company, has become the newest tenant at the Prince William Science Accelerator in Innovation Park near Manassas.
The company specializes in developing early diagnosis for infectious diseases. It joins existing wet-lab space tenants Ceres Nanosciences, ISOThrive and Virongy at the accelerator.
Systaaq’s President, Shahid Aziz, said in a statement that the company had outgrown its previous space in Baltimore.
Established in 2014, the Prince William Science Accelerator supports the growth of early-stage and small life-science companies.
It has about 9,000 square feet of wet-lab space subdivided into nine labs. Wet labs range in size from 439 to 1,141 square feet and have shared amenities such as conference rooms, a reception and receiving area.
The addition of Systaaq will result in six of the nine labs being occupied. The remaining labs are expected to be occupied by the end of the year.
