Automark Solutions LLC said Tuesday it is relocating its headquarters from McLean to Virginia Beach, a move that will create 35 jobs.
Automark is a software company that services the automotive and related industries focused on ecommerce.
“While there were several geographical options that made sense, none provided the quality of life benefits that Virginia Beach offers that are very important to our existing employees and hopefully will translate to attracting those we plan to hire in the coming months,” Ken Lees, Automark’s vice president and partner, said in a statement.
The company was founded in 2012 and currently has 11 employees. The expansion will triple its workforce during the next 36 months. The new jobs will have average annual salaries of $40,000 in management, customer service, software developers and administrative support.
The Virginia Beach Development Authority has awarded Automark Solutions LLC a $45,000 Economic Development Investment Program grant, based on the number of jobs created. The company will also make a $35,000 capital investment for the expansion.
