H&R Retail, based out of Maryland, said Wednesday that it has been named the exclusive leasing agent at West Broad Marketplace, a new 393,000-square-foot shopping center under development in the Short Pump area of Henrico County.
Co-anchors Wegmans Food Markets and Cabela’s are under construction and are scheduled to open this year, along with TJ Maxx.
NVRetail, based in Vienna, and Excel Trust, a California-based subsidiary of Blackstone, are the developers behind West Broad Marketplace.
Serving on the H&R Retail project leasing team is Ray Schupp, David Ward, and Bryan Davis. According to Schupp, H&R Retail will be targeting upscale, new-to-market retailers. West Broad Marketplace can accommodate additional junior anchor retailers, restaurants and shops. It is located west of the Short Pump Town Center.
H & R Retail, founded in 1983, is the largest retail-only brokerage firm in the Washington, D.C./Baltimore area. It specializes in landlord and tenant representation as well as investment sales. With offices in Baltimore and Bethesda, Maryland, the firm represents 13 million square feet of retail space and 80 big box, specialty stores and restaurants.
