Carolina Ale House to open first Virginia location

Carolina Ale House plans to open its first Virginia location in western Henrico County.

The restaurant, the chain’s 29th location, is scheduled to open Feb. 29 in the Short Pump area. It is expected to create 140 jobs.

The site at 11275 West Broad Street  is a building that formerly housed Mimi’s Café .

Established in 1999  in Raleigh, N.C., Carolina Ale House currently has locations in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Texas and Florida.

The Richmond location is affiliated with LM Restaurants, a hospitality management group.

Carolina Ale House features 72 draft beers (including local craft beers) and a selection of 99 bottled beers.
