8 Va. companies land spots on $42B Air Force contract

55 firms are on the 11-year contract

Eight Virginia companies have landed spots on a $46 billion contract with the U.S. Air Force Eglin Wide Agile Acquisition contract.

The Air Force awarded spots to 55 firms, according to a Department of Defense announcement this week.

The contract provides for work in digital engineering and model-based systems engineering, agile processes, open systems architecture, weapons and enterprise analytics for Eglin Air Force Base in Florida and its mission partners. The work is expected to be completed by Sept. 6, 2032.

The Virginia companies on the contract are: McLean-based Booz Allen Hamilton Inc., Herndon-based Serco Inc., Reston-based Kihomac Inc., Alexandria-based DCA Corp., Fairfax-based MAG Aerospace, McLean-based OST Inc., Herndon-based Cyberspace Solutions LLC and Portsmouth-based InDefense Warriors Government Solutions LLC.

“The primary objective of the program is to provide rapid response applicable to all areas and lifecycle phases of weapons development to include weapons concepts, concept development, concept demonstrations, weapons system procurement, production, fielding, operations, a sustainment to quickly meet current and future weapons system requirements,” Ajay Madan, OST’s chief operating officer, said in an email Friday.
